We’re all making decisions with less certainty than we’d like.
That gets uncomfortable when we have to own the consequences.
At Jackson Hole last week, Kevin Warsh gave markets very little certainty about what comes next. The economy remains resilient, inflation is still high, AI investment is accelerating, and forecasting keeps getting harder (Federal Reserve, August 2026).
The labor market tells a similar story.
In June, companies made 5.3 million hires while 5.4 million people left their jobs, including 1.8 million layoffs and discharges (BLS, August 2026).
We look at signals like these and try to explain why.
Companies do the same thing.
Pipeline moves. Customers behave differently. AI changes the economics of work.
Signals tell us WHAT changed. They don’t tell us WHY.
The story we attach to the signal becomes the decision we make.
That’s where ambiguity gets expensive.
We can execute the wrong answer perfectly, then wonder why customer value, margins, NRR, or revenue moved in the wrong direction.
Most companies already have plenty to work with.
The harder job is understanding what changed, deciding what matters, and getting more from the people, technology, and customer knowledge already inside the business.
That’s a large part of what we do. Help leadership teams interpret ambiguity and turn their existing capabilities into stronger customer value and revenue.
Execution Beats Theory. Every Time.
