We’re living in a two-speed economy.
Companies are laying people off and hiring at the same time.
Jobs that felt secure disappeared. New ones show up with different titles, different skills, and different expectations.
For many of us, the linear career is already gone.
Unless we happen to be the purple squirrel a company needs at exactly that moment, we’re going to adapt, change direction, learn something new, and probably start over more than once.
This weekend marks the unofficial end of summer.
Never have I seen so much uncertainty and change.
It’s easy to say adapt or die.
The real lesson is to readjust our priorities to what really is important.
Jobs may be disposable.
Our reputation isn’t. Neither are our families, our friends, or the relationships we’ve spent years building.
Good intentions help, but people remember how we consistently show up.
It’s a great time to reflect on what we’re working for in the first place.
Execution Beats Theory. Every Time.
